1. Purpose

Mindivy is a tool for personal learning and research and does not provide professional advice. Content produced by the App and its AI features (summaries, classifications, translations, concept explanations, etc.) is provided for reference only and may be inaccurate or incomplete — use your own judgment. For medical, financial, legal, or other professional matters, consult a qualified professional.

2. Content Responsibility

• You are responsible for the content you import, scrape, and use. When using the web-page import feature, you must comply with the target site's terms of service and copyright notices and are solely responsible for compliance (the App's interface includes a "for personal study only" reminder).
• Prohibited uses (large-scale crawling, bypassing paywalls, public redistribution, etc.) are listed in the Terms of Service, Section 4.

3. AI Services Disclaimer

AI features are processed directly by third-party providers (built-in options: DeepSeek, Zhipu GLM, Moonshot Kimi; or other services you configure) using your API key. Mindivy operates no inference servers and does not relay data. Mindivy is not responsible for the following:

1. Provider data breaches: disclosure of user data due to provider security vulnerabilities, insider access, legal compulsion, or other causes;
2. Provider policy changes: providers may unilaterally change their data-use terms — monitor their policies yourself;
3. Provider use of data for model training: free-tier terms may reserve the right to use requests for training — Mindivy does not monitor or control how providers use the data they receive;
4. Sensitive data you choose to send: you decide what text to send; Mindivy performs no content review or sensitive-data filtering before AI calls;
5. API key compromise: your API key is stored in the local encrypted database; if it is exposed through causes outside the App (e.g., device compromise) and misused externally, Mindivy is not responsible for resulting charges.
6. Your device security: your data is stored on your own device; the security of that device (compromise, malware) is yours to control and your responsibility. Mindivy is not liable for data breaches or losses arising from device compromise.

4. Data & Recovery

Your data is protected by a local SQLCipher-encrypted database, unlocked by the mnemonic you set. Loss of your mnemonic means your data cannot be recovered — Mindivy holds no copy of your data and has no recovery capability.

5. Availability

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. AI service outages, provider failures, or resource-pack download failures do not constitute a breach by Mindivy.

6. Limitation of Liability

Mindivy applies security measures proportionate to its local-first architecture (local encryption; no server-side data surface), but makes no guarantee of absolute security — a data breach or loss caused by hacking, device compromise, third-party defects, or force majeure does not constitute Mindivy's negligence or willful misconduct.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MINDIVY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE APP. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
